This Project was a level selection screen for a mobile game about a freedom fighter during the 1850’s british time period. it is a 3rd person narrative driven shooter. This was made during my internship at polyphonic technologies. where i was just given the GDD and was told to figure out an innovative and a very optimised way to show the level selector screen with all the princeples of UI/UX design
This was made in 20 days, which included the ideation, the flow, initail draft, and after the approval of the pre production, Unreal engine prototype and photoshop UI elements design

Since, it being set out in the 1850’s during the bristish colonization in
India I wanted to make a concept where the british government are
setting out to capture the player and this being thier table where
thay plan out the escape route showing what they’ve tried being
the finished level and where they are being a current location and
where they finally plan on going being the future levels of the game
to show the foreshadowing to the players who play the game to
know that there is more to look forward in this game
It was planned that when we progress in the game and complete
levels you’d be able to see the contents in the table and the
background changes and shows more of the desperation that the
british government had to catch this specific individual as to show
that they’ve trully achived something completeing the level further
motivating to see what’ll happen to the level screen as you progress
through the game
It was a narrative based realistic shooter which needs a lot of space and
they didnt have enough to give for a level selector. and they also wanted
it to look 3d and some movement in there with very limited number of
meshes
So i made it so that it only uses one plane and nothing else, by limiting
the movement to a zoom in and zoom out it is kinda 2d so i took a 3d top
shot render of their desied table contents and then painted on top of it
by adding all of textures in photoshop and then in unreal just added that
single plane made some very lowpoly pins to indicate levels and a point
for the camera to zoom in to and when the player clicks the pin it zoom
in and will open the file of information about the level on the side
